My goal with this collection is to encourage a new generation of collectors to view photography as an asset that will continue to appreciate in value as it enriches their lives while in their possession.
I’ve been fortunate to be able to take a life long journey with my camera which has taken me to all corners of our globe. This has allowed me to see and appreciate much of the beauty as well as some of the sadness that the world has to offer. I’ve been blessed to be able to document much of it with my camera. I welcome the opportunity to make these images available for not only the experienced collector but the new breed of art collector that may now be at a point in their lives that they are able to reflect and celebrate where their life has taken them.
Another generation is facing the reality that almost all of their musical contemporaries are now being viewed, by the current generation, as “old school” artists that can now be admired and revered for the work they did “way back when.” We all have a natural desire to lean towards the music and artists that were prominent when we were coming of age. In addition to my street photography, I was fortunate to come of age during the time when hip-hop was taking over the country and then the world as the dominant musical art form we see today.
Growing up during those times, I was able to photograph artists so prominent, that they are referred to by one word names much like other stars that came before them. The names Biggie, Tupac and Snoop bring out a similar reaction to this generation much like Jimi, Mick, Bruce or Frank did for previous generations. Hopefully in this collection, you’ll find an image that speaks to you or someone you know and moves you to become a collector.
I will continue to periodically update and introduce other images from my archives as well as those of other photographers to add to the collection.
